TUITION FEE SPONSORSHIP
£1000 CASH BACK

The aim and objective of Tuition Fee Sponsorship is to attract engineers into the Building Services Profession, and in particular onto the Building Services Engineering Degree course at Northumbria University.  Awareness of what Building Services Engineers actually do is very low, and as a consequence, student intake numbers are low.  By assisting with student Tuition Fees, Northumbria University hope to attract engineering students, who may not have otherwise considered Building Services Engineering as a career.

The CIBSE North East Committee is asking companies/organisations across the North East and Countrywide to become Sponsorship Partners and to donate £1000 per year towards the Tuition Fee Sponsorship Fund.  If the funds raised are sufficient, each new student on the Building Services Degree Course will receive ‘£1000 cash back’ in the December of their first year.

Benefits for companies who donate towards this scheme include supporting the future of Building Services Engineering, helping to secure graduates into the industry, preferential access to Northumbria University work placement students and graduates, advertising on Northumbria University and CIBSE North East Web-sites, and advertising at the CIBSE North East Annual Dinner.

The student sponsorship scheme has been running for three years. It has been highly successful in attracting first year students on to the BEng(Hons) Building Services Engineering course at Northumbria University. We are looking to continue this successful collaboration between sponsors and the University.
